Married. Age 42. Blue eyes, light hair, ruddy complexion, 5’6”. Enlisted for one year on 31 Aug 1864 at Green Bay, Wisconsin, and mustered there the same day. Bounty $100. Private. Enlistment credited to Clayton, Winnebago County. Mustered out with his company on 26 Jun 1865 at Washington DC. Died 1 May 1888 and is buried in Grace Lutheran church cemetery in Winchester, Winnebago County.
