Sick at Mississippi River Island No. 10. Sick in hospital in Iuka, Mississippi, on 21 Aug 1862. Wounded in the Battle at Chickamauga, Georgia, 19 Sep 1863, and taken prisoner. He died in prison on 1 Feb 1864 of his wounds. Buried in Cemetery at Marietta, Georgia; section A, grave 118.
