Transferred to Company H at Whiteside, Tennessee. Given 30 day furlough, 29 Jan 1865. Temporarily assigned to the 24th Infantry. Transferred to the Wisconsin 13th Infantry, Company I, on 11 Jun 1865. Mustered out 24 Nov 1865 at San Antonio, Texas. Name is “Louis” on all pay rosters except the final one, in which he is listed “Lewis”. Post war: Lived at Viroqua, Vernon County, Wisconsin.
