KNUTSON, Isaac

WI 2nd Inf Co H. Residence: Lodi, Columbia County, Wisconsin. Born 16 Jun 1841 at Sannidal, Telemark, Norway, a son of Knud Knudsen Nass and Aslau Isaksdatter Dal. He came to America with his parents and four siblings on “Bowditch” which sailed from Havre, France, and arrived in New York on 8 Aug 1846. They came to Columbia County. Civil War: Age 21. Farmer. Blue eyes, light hair, fair complexion, 5’10½”. Enlisted for three years on 7 Feb 1862 at Madison, Wisconsin. Mustered there the same day. Private.
