WI 33rd Inf Co H. Residence: Blanchardville, Lafayette County, Wisconsin. Born in Norway. Civil War: Farmer. Age 19. Unmarried. Blue eyes, black hair, swarthy complexion, 5’6”, light build. Enlisted for three years on 14 Aug 1862 at Argyle, Wisconsin. Mustered 18 Oct 1862 at Camp Utley, Racine, Wisconsin. Bounty paid at muster $25 (of $100 total). Private. Died 9 Nov 1863, due to diarrhea, in the regimental hospital at Natchez, Mississippi.
