Mustered 2 Dec 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Left behind at Perryville, Kentucky, 9 Oct 1862. Sick in Danville, Kentucky. Taken prisoner at Stone’s River, Tennessee, 31 Dec 1862. Was reported killed, and is so listed on the Regiment’s quarterly report of Deceased Soldiers, dated 31 Dec 1862. Sent to St. Louis to be exchanged. Wounded at Chickamauga, Georgia, 19 Sep 1863, and again taken prisoner. Was in Albany, Indiana, 21 Oct 1862, because of his wounds. Mustered out with C Company, 1 Jan 1865, at Chattanooga, Tennessee.
