He came to America on the “Salvator”, which left Porsgrunn and stopped in Portsmouth, England, and arrived in New York on 12 Jul 1845. He married on 28 Oct 1854 Christina Stephens. Civil War: Married. Age 45. Brown eyes, brown hair, dark complexion, 5’8”. Enlisted for three years on 11 Sep 1861 at Dodgeville. Mustered 18 Oct 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private.
