US Army 151st Field Artillery. Born in Bergen, Norway. First World War: Locomotive fireman. Blue eyes, dark hair, dark complexion, 5’7”. Unmarried. Enlisted on 12 Jun 1917 at St. Paul, Minnesota. Assigned as Wagoner. Left the US 18 Oct 1917. Arrived back in the US on 26 Apr 1919. Discharged at Camp Dodge, Iowa, on 10 May 1919. Service bonus of $85.60 paid there.
