WI 15th Inf Co I. Residence: St. Lawrence, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. Hans, Peter and Simon Myhre were brothers born in Ringebu, Norway. Civil War: Age 26. Unmarried. Enlisted for three years on 9 Dec 1861 at Scandinavia, Wisconsin, soon after arriving in Wisconsin. Mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 20 Dec 1861. Private. Promoted to Corporal 5 Dec 1862. Was with the provisions transport from Stevenson, Alabama, in October 1863. Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 28 Nov 1863. Taken prisoner at New Hope Church, Georgia, 27 May 1864, and died of scurvy in Andersonville Prison on 4 Oct 1864. Buried there in grave 10,289.
