TX 26th Cav Co F. CSA. Born April 1837 in Norway. Civil War: Enlisted for the war on 13 Oct 1861 at Bolivar Point. Private. Transferred to TX 2nd Inf Co G on 15 Jun 1862. Detached to serve on gunboat Harriet Lane in Galveston Bay from 8 Jan 1863 until sometime I Apr 1863. Was in a hospital in Houston, Texas, 16-22 Apr 1863. Later he was detailed to serve as Assistant Quartermaster in the Galveston Quartermaster Department and was there until the war ended.
