WI 15th Inf Co F. Residence: Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. Born in Sweden. Civil War: Unmarried. Carpenter; sawyer. Age 30. Blue eyes, blond hair, 5’8”. Enlisted for three years on 21 Oct 1861 at Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 12 Dec 1861. Designated Sergeant 12 Dec 1861. Promoted to First Sergeant. Wounded in his right foot and taken prisoner in battle at Stone’s River, Tennessee, 31 Dec 1862. Sent to Benton Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri, for exchange on 29 Jun 1863 and died there of cholera on 2 Aug 1863.
