Enlisted as a Substitute on 11 Jun 1864 at West Lebanon, New Hampshire. Private. Captured 27 Jun 1864 at Petersburg, Virginia. Imprisoned at Andersonville, Georgia. Enlisted in TN 10th Inf Co F. CSA in Oct 1864 at Camp Lawton, Millen, Georgia. Private. Captured 28 Dec 1864 at Egypt’s Station, Mississippi. Sent to Memphis, Tennessee, and then on 17 Jan 1865 to Alton Military Prison, Illinois.
