Enlisted for three years on 2 Mar 1862 at Madison, Wisconsin, and mustered there the same day. Private. Was with the provisions transport from Stevenson, Alabama, in September and October, 1863. Seriously wounded in both legs at Bald Knob (Kennesaw Mountain), Georgia, on 21 Jun 1864. Died of his wounds in a hospital at Chattanooga, Tennessee, 2 Jul 1864.
