Civil War: Enlisted for duration of the war on 29 Mar 1862 at Bosqueville, McLennan County, Texas. Private. From May to Jun 1863, he was absent sick at Marksville, Louisiana. He was taken prisoner near Yellow Bayou, Louisiana, 18 May 1864; held at New Orleans, Louisiana. Sick with intermittent fever at St. Louis General Hospital, New Orleans, 20 – 29 Jun 1864. Exchanged at Red River Landing, Louisiana, 22 Jul 1864. Post war: Lived in Hagerman County, New Mexico. He died 3 Jan 1912 in Bosque County, Texas.
