He was a son of Paul Mortensen Holm and Ingeborg Jonsdatter. Married on 29 Dec 1846 to Anna Torgersdatter. They came to America with an infant son Peter on “Flora”, which sailed from Christiania on 15 Jun 1849 and arrived at New York on 23 Aug 1849. They came to the Rock River settlement, Rock County, Wisconsin. Moved to Scandinavia, Waupaca County, in 1857. Civil War: Carpenter. Age 45. Married. Brown eyes, brown hair, dark complexion, 5’9”. Enlisted for one year on 23 Jan 1865 at Scandinavia. Mustered 10 Feb 1865 at Madison, Wisconsin. Bounty $100. Private. Died in Scandinavia on 4 Oct 1865.
