Married. Blue eyes, brown hair, sandy complexion, 5’8”. Drafted for one year on 30 Sep 1864 at Liberty, Wisconsin. Mustered the same day. Bounty $186. Private. “Missing since the 21st of March 1865. Supposed to have been taken prisoner at the battle of Bentonville, North Carolina. Was a drafted man and never able to perform the duties of a soldier.” Post war: Died in Gjerpen, Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, 30 Aug 1902. Buried at West Valders, Wisconsin.
