Took part in the battle of Hatcher’s Run, Virginia, 6-7 Feb 1865, and was wounded on the second day of fighting. Discharged from the service 24 May 1865 from Satterlee US General Hospital at West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Post war: While living at Cashton, Monroe County, he was granted a pension of $6 a month because of a wound to his left leg.
