TX 46th Cav Co E. McCord’s Frontier Regiment. CSA. From Hedemarken, Norway. Born “Even Carlsen Questad” on 17 Oct 1842 at Loten, Norway, a son of Carl Questad. Civil War: Enlisted for one year on 1 Feb 1862 at Stephenville, Texas. Private. Was in Indian and Civil wars. He was a member of the “Texas Rangers”, the Texas Settlers “Home Guard” in the Indian wars. While on scout duty in Bosque County, he got pneumonia and died of it on 31 Aug 1862.
