Detached to the Brigade Provost Guard, 19 Jun 1863. Sent to General Field Hospital, Chattanooga, Tennessee, 24 Oct 1863. Still there on 28th of November. Died at a military hospital in Chattanooga of chronic diarrhea, on 1 Dec 1863. Buried in National Cemetery at Chattanooga; section D, grave 149.
