Captured by the enemy at Chickamauga, Georgia, 20 Sep 1863, and died of scurvy in a Confederate prison at Danville, Virginia, 3 Apr 1864. Buried in National Cemetery at Danville. Entered on the Roll of Honor of the 2nd Brigade, 1st Division, 20th Army Corps.
