Wounded in his knee at Chickamauga, Georgia, 19 Sep 1863, and sent to hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Was sick in hospital at Nashville, Tennessee, 23 May 1864. Mustered out with E Company in Chattanooga, 20 Dec 1864. Post war: He lived at Stoddard, Wisconsin.
