Married 12 Nov 1860 to Christina Mitchell in Pontiac, Livingston County, Illinois, in Nov 1860. Civil War: Farmer. Age 29. Married. Gray eyes, light hair, light complexion, 6’. Enlisted for three years on 10 Aug 1862 at Ottawa, Illinois, and mustered there on 27 Aug 1862. Private. Wounded in both shoulders during the battle of Stone’s River, Tennessee. Discharged from the service 17 Jan 1863 at Camp Chase, Ohio. Post war: This family moved to Webster County, Iowa, in the early 1890s. He filed for an increase in pension on 8 Jul 1904.
