He came with his parents and seven siblings to America on the “Præciosa” which sailed from Skien, Telemark, and reached New York on 22 Aug 1845. They came to Ixonia Township, Jefferson County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Age 31. Farmer. Unmarried. Gray eyes, dark hair, dark complexion, 6’. Enlisted for three years on 19 Aug 1862 at Martell.
