This beaker has two bands of engraved floral motifs against a pricked background. It was made by Johan Salomon Hind who was an active goldsmith in Bergen between 1790 and 1812.

Marks: Bergen city gate with seven balls (indicating it was made in Bergen); MP (the assay mark of Mathais Pettersen, who assayed between 1796 and 1812); JSH(indicating it was made by Johan Salomon Hind); 93 (indicating it was made in 1793); and the zodiac sign for Sagittarius (indicating it was made between November 22 and December 21)
