This late art nouveau vase, a presentation piece, was made in 1925 by the N.M. Thune firm in Oslo. It has a hammered body, with intertwined tendrils and birds in repoussé around the upper portion of the vase, and a band of acanthus in relief around the lower portion.

Marks: Thune

The N. M. Thune firm was founded in 1857 by Nilius Martinius Thune. The firm is still in existence today.
