Blue eyes, brown hair, ruddy complexion, 5’9”. Volunteer Recruit. Enlisted for three years on 22 Feb 1864 at Green Bay, Wisconsin. Mustered there the same day. Bounty $300. Private. Took part with the Wisconsin 23rd in General Banks’ Red River campaign in 1864. Died of congestive chills on 7 Aug 1864 at Brashear City, Louisiana.
