Enrolled for one year on 27 Feb 1864 at La Crosse as a substitute for Ira Noyes of Brunswick, Eau Claire County. Mustered there the same day. Private. This unit in North Carolina was ordered on 30 Apr 1865 to move to Camp Randall, Madison, Wisconsin, to become the camp’s permanent guard. Transferred to the WI 3rd Inf on 10 May 1865.
