Enlisted for three years on 7 Nov 1861 at Preston. Mustered 8 Dec 1861 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Wounded at Stone’s River near Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on 30 Dec 1862, and sent to hospital at Nashville, Tennessee. Moved to hospital at New Albany, Indiana. Sick at Chattanooga 28 Nov 1863. Killed by a gunshot in the Battle near Allatoona, Georgia, 27 May 1864.
