WI 15th Inf Co G. Residence: Martell, Pierce County, Wisconsin. Civil War: Age 41. Married. Enlisted for three years on 5 Dec 1861 at Martell and mustered at Madison, Wisconsin, 13 Dec 1861. Private. Sick in Chattanooga, Tennessee, 28 Nov 1863 and in Knoxville, Tennessee, 24 Feb 1864. Sent to Harvey Hospital in Madison where he was found to be unfit for service and he was discharged from the service for disease (chronic diarrhea) on 20 Sep 1864.
