WI 40th Inf Co C. Residence: Albion, Wisconsin. Born 24 Mar 1846 at Valestrand, Sondhordland, Norway to Endre Eidsvaag and Mathihanna Lindaas. Came to America in 1851. Civil War: Age 18. Enlisted for 100 days on 10 May 1864 at Albion. Mustered 7 Jun 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin. Private. Mustered out at Madison 16 Sep 1865, term expired. Post war: He became Nils Endreson Böe. Became a Lutheran pastor, serving churches in Kansas, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin, 1871 to 1916. Married first in 1870 to Anna Reque, a daughter of Lars Davidson Rekve, one of the founders of the Koshkonong settlement in Wisconsin. Anderson died, after a week’s illness, on 7 Aug 1925. Buried at Silver Lake Cemetery, Worth County, Iowa. He was survived by his widow, Sophie Magdalena Boe. (pension application). She died in 1887.
