Became unfit for service and was discharged from the service for disease at Mississippi River Island No. 10, 30 Jan 1863. Post war: In May 1882, a veteran named Ole Anderson of Dodgeville was granted a pension of $4 a month due to injury to his abdomen and to disease of his eyes.
