Missing in Battle of Chickamauga, Georgia, 20 Sep 1863. Later found to be a Prisoner of war in Libby Prison, Richmond, Virginia, 5 Nov 1863. Died from wounds in a military prison in Danville, Virginia, 25 Apr 1864. Buried in an anonymous grave in National Cemetery, Danville.
