Almost a year later, he enlisted again for three years on 4 Apr 1864 at La Crosse as a Veteran recruit. Mustered there the same day. Private. Came to WI 15th Inf Co B at Dallas on 15 May 1864. Transferred to H Company on 1 Dec 1864. Assigned temporarily to the 24th Infantry. Transferred to Company I of the WI 13th Infantry on 10 Jun 1865. Mustered out at San Antonio, Texas, on 24 Nov 1865. Post war: Died at Stoddard, Wisconsin.
