Mustered 28 Apr 1864. Private. Mustered out 20 Jan 1866 at Memphis, Tennessee. Post war: Was granted a pension of $24.99 per month. Died at age 75 on 12 Nov 1918 and was buried at the State Home Cemetery in Hot Springs, South Dakota, lot 18, grave 57. Grave marker shows his unit as IA 12th Inf Co G.
