Woven in slit and interlock techniques where the warp is vertical in the finished product. The tapestry, which is based on a cartoon designed by the Norwegian artist Thorolf Holmboe, was woven by Pauline Fjelde. Pauline, along with her sister Thomane, were the makers of the first Minnesota state flag in 1892.
